If you are a Conservatory owner here in the uk, you will have came across all the most common problems with having a Conservatory attached to your home, the good point is you have a valuable extra room on the ground floor that in most cases looks out onto your beautiful garden. The bad point is you can only use it three to four months of the year because of the high temperature fluctuations. Most Conservatories suffer from unbearable heat in the summer months that makes it feel more like a greenhouse than a Conservatory and the the dreaded Conservatory that’s too cold to use in the winter months not too mention the outside noise from rain & sleet hitting the polycarbonate Conservatory roof, also the sun’s ultraviolet radiation penetrating the Conservatory through the roof damaging all the Conservatory contents from bleaching carpets and Upholstered furniture, window blind clips becoming brittle, candles melting, house plants wilting all caused by the sun’s heat penetrating the conservatory roof. That’s why we recommend you never leave family pets or young children unattended for even short period of time without plenty of ventilation and keeping a close eye on them on hot summer days. In the winter months you have condensation problems to contend with as well as the freezing cold temperatures outside transferring to the inside. and as soon as any form of household heating is turned on to warm the Conservatory up to a pleasant ambient temperature the condensation problem soon start. The main reason conservatories suffer from condensation is because Warm air rises from your central heating or other heat source and because polycarbonate or glass roof panels have virtually no thermal insulation properties, more so polycarbonate. Warm air rises and meets a cold surface which is known as due point, your polycarbonate roof panels will suffer condensation more so if there’s no ventilation or if it’s cold outdoors. Conservatories that are North or North-East facing tend to suffer more from condensation problems. Our Conservatory solution is to insulate the underside of the Conservatory roof using our unique Energy saving Conservatory roof Insulation that’s been tried and tested in real life too hot and too cold conservatory conditions and hot boxed tested, and with over twenty years installing & insulating Conservatories to thousands of uk customers conservatories we know it works 100%. http://conservatoryroofinsulations.co.uk |
