The Castro is named after the 19th-century politician & general Jose Castro. By the 1970s it became the epicenter of the LGBTQ movement: a safe haven for the community. With prominent figures such as Harvey Milk (the first openly gay elected official in California history), The Castro is a reminder of our city’s diversity, acceptance and empowerment. Live Fit Gym opened its doors to the diverse community of the Castro to provide luxury fitness & ultimate wellness—an experience towards total transformation.
