Canary Commons Condominium is the fourth phase of downtown Toronto’s popular and highly successful Canary District master planned community. Canary District Phase 4 Condominium is part of a long-awaited revitalization project that is transforming a Corktown brownfield site just east of Toronto’s Distillery District into a thriving and vibrant residential area.
Alternately known as Block 12 of the Canary District master planned community, Canary Commons Condominium will be a mid-rise development. The Canary District Phase 4 development is currently in the pre-construction phase. At present, the builder has only released a limited number of details about the project. Here is what has been confirmed so far:
Canary Condos Toronto will be a 12-storey mid-rise condominium development
It will feature approximately 400 suites with a mix of 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom plus dens, 2 bedrrom and 3 bedrrom designs
The building site is located on Front Street East, between and Cherry Street and Bayview Avenue in Corktown
Dundee Kilmer Developments Limited will be the Developer
Canary District is a master-planned community that has earned high praise and prestigious accolades, including the 2012 Canadian Architect Award of Excellence, the 2013 National Awards Community of the Year (Urban category), and the 2014 BILD Awards Community of the Year. It ranked in seventh place on a recent list of “the most intelligent communities in the world,” and is Gold Certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
